Ramada Downtown Dubai, located in Dubai’s most prestigious and vibrant district, announces the appointment of Chef Belal Kattan as the property’s new Sous Chef who will be assisting in providing the highest quality and superior guest service at Orchid Restaurant, the hotel’s all day dining place.
Chef Belal comes with over 10 years of international experience in various restaurants with leading hotel chains such as the JW Marriott Dubai, Movenpick Hotel in Sanaa (Yemen) and Sheraton in Damascus. A Syrian national, Chef Belal developed his interest in cooking at the early age of 14 and he took inspirations from his father and uncle who are both professional and talented chefs.

Chef Belal will be in charge of garde manger and hot kitchen area. With his expertise in Arabic dishes, expect to see new offering each time you dine at Orchid Restaurant. He added: “The dishes Fish Harra and Maple Glazed Chicken are dishes that I am very proud of. It is something different and diners must try it because I’m sure that they will like it.”
The all day dining Orchid Restaurant and Café serves a sumptuous hot buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as ala carte menu with choices of international and regional dishes and an array of delicious homemade pastries and desserts.
