UAE visa amnesty set to begin

Illegal residents in the UAE will be able to take advantage of a visa amnesty, which is due to start on Tuesday. the amnesty will enable those residing illegally to get an exit permit and have fines waived.

Thousands of illegal residents are expected to take advantage of the visa amnesty [in the UAE] which begins on Tuesday [2].

Officials from the residency department say illegals can seek exit permits and have fines waived at 10 centres across the country from 8am.
