Dunia Finance, the Abu Dhabi based financial services company, is calling on all UAE residents to help prevent blood shortage issues in the country by organizing a blood donation drive that will take place across its Financial Centers in the UAE. The three-day drive commences on January 18th and runs till January 20th, 2011.
The company has collaborated with the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Blood Bank in Abu Dhabi and The Blood Donation Centre in Al Wasl Hospital in Dubai to oversee the donation and collection process.
Rajeev Kakar, Executive Director & CEO of Dunia Finance, said: “This is our seventh blood drive in the past 2 years since launch, and the response we get every time is amazing. Our staff, customers and the wider community are always eager to participate, and we hope to create more awareness and encourage more people to donate blood through such initiatives.”
The drive, organized under the company’s dunia cares platform, is part of its continuous efforts to address key social, health, environmental and community issues in the UAE.
