Emirates has supported a number of UAE National students by sponsoring their educational trip to Rome.
Each of the Zayed University students was provided with a return economy class ticket to Rome on Emirates.
The all female group of students will spend 10 days travelling around Rome, Florence and Pompei on an educational trip, looking at specific aspects of Italian history as part of their Global Awareness and World History university classes at Zayed University.
“Emirates is committed to supporting the development of UAE Nationals, both within Emirates and the wider UAE. Educational trips such as this are an important facet of university degrees, allowing the students to learn through experience. I wish the students the best of luck on their trip,” said Khalid Bel Jaflah, Emirates Vice President Commercial UAE Emirates.
Throughout their trip the students will study examples of ancient Roman and Italian Renaissance histories. On their return to Dubai they will present their findings by way of a academic presentation and photo exhibition.
“This field study trip is an important part of our coursework and we are looking forward to gaining a deeper understanding of Roman civilization and the Renaissance period through first-hand experience. We thank Emirates for their support in making this trip a reality,” said Shamma Tarish from Zayed University.
Emirates currently flies to three destinations within Italy including; Rome with 14 weekly flights, Venice with seven weekly flights and Milan with 14 weekly flights.
