Hama 13th Theatrical Festival concluded its activities last Thursday in the Syrian city of Hama with the performance of the play Al Dik (Rooster) by director Talal Nasr Eddin, according to the daily Syria Times.
“The play deals with the human suffering of the Arab people. It glorifies life and urges man to overcome difficult circumstances,” the play writer, actor and director told the daily.
Costarring in the play Zinati Qudsiyyeh and Qasem Malho.
Before September 11, Al Dik was staged in San Francisco as Nasr Eddin had received an invitation from the Al Bait Al Arabi (Arab House) in the USA to stage his play.
However, the play was also staged as part of the Syrian National Theater shows for 2001 in Damascus -- Albawaba.com
