The talented UAE singer, Ahlam, is now preparing for the launch of a new album in the coming months, that is expected to be a collection of songs from various composers. The songs “Skootak” (Your Silence) composed by Al Faisal, and “Qadeemah” (Old) composed by Abdullah Al Qu’ood are just two songs from her new album, which is a combination of songs by the poet So’ud Al Sharbatly.
According to the London based Elaph, Ahlam stated that her new album features new styles, and approaches performing her songs in a way that goes with the new trends that are occupying the Arabic music world.
Ahlam stressed that despite the new shift in style she made, it is always a point for her to stick to the Khaleeji (Gulf) theme that led to her popularity and fame.
According to the Saudi daily, Al Riyadh, Ahlam is busy these days recording with sound technician Ameen Akef, the last two songs on her album, composed by Kuwaiti Abdulla Al Ka'oud, in Saot Al Hub music studio in Cairo.
Ahlam, who previously headed to Cairo after a working visit in France, had finished recording "Baab Al Leil" (Night's Doors), "La Ti'eed" (Don't Repeat), "Leih Mitdayeg" (Why Are You Annoyed?!), and "Tighayar Al Waget" (Time Has Changed).
The talented singer promises her fans that the upcoming album would hold new and different styles of music and songs, as it comes in cooperation with several big names in the music worlds. – Albawaba.com
