Syrian actress Amal Arafeh has already began preparation on her upcoming album and is currently choosing songs to include in it. Amal revealed that she plans on shooting a new music video for the song “Dum Albi” (Hold my Heart), which she had sung with Lebanese singer Majd Al Kassem.
Amal has denied circulating rumors that she has freed herself from all obligations in order to write a new television drama series, after witnessing great success in her previous writing experience of the drama “Ishtar”. The singer/actress stressed that writing dramas is not an easy matter and requires lots of free time, which she does not have at the moment.
Arafeh has also denied circulating rumors that she intends on quitting her acting career after her Ramadan television drama series “Ishtar”. Amal played the leading role in the drama and had personally supervised on the direction and production due to the fact that she is the one who wrote the script and believes she has the right to overlook all the details of the drama.
Rumors had it that Amal revealed in an interview to one of the Lebanese radio stations that she intends on resigning from the acting world and the story in her drama “Ishtar” was in more ways than one a push in the direction she wishes to concentrate on. In the drama Amal performs a number of songs that reveal the real talent she posses and shows that she is a true singer.
Amal stressed that she does not think of leaving the acting world, but does intend on giving more focus on her singing career. She added that she feels it is important for an artist to excel in more than one field.
