Amr Waked steals the show across the pond

While popular singers have thrown themselves into the talent show craze as judges [2]helping to find upcoming stars, the Arab world's favorite actors don't want to miss out on the action. 

Egyptian celeb Amr Waked [3] has taken this one step further by offering his services across the pond as a judge at the Chicago Film Festival.  [4]

And, in typical celeb fashion, Amr isn't happy just judging the event - his film 'Al Shita Elli Phat' (Last Winter) will also be screened at the festival. 

And that's not all - in case this wasn't enough Amr for festival-goers, the film will be screened twice - during the 'World Cinema' and 'A Look at Middle Eastern Cinema' sections.

But, to stop Amr taking over the entire show, the film - which has already been widely celebrated at festivals across the world - will not be part of the competition itself.
