Already acknowledged for his writing, acting, and directing, Hollywood veteran, Billy Bob Thronton is now working another talent muscle: singing.
The Arkansas native has been working on an alt-country album for the last year and is almost done, the New York Post's Page Six reports.
Sources tell the Post, "he has only four more songs to go, and the record is expected out in the second quarter of 2001."
Get ready for another surprise.
You may actually get the vocals of Thronton’s gorgeous wife, Angelina Jolie!
Jolie is rumored to lend some vocal stylings to her hubby's debut album.
However, Thornton's rep disputes the rumor, telling the Post, "[Jolie] is supportive of his music but she has nothing to do with the record."
Thornton's rep also nixed reports that the Sling Blade star is planning a small Southern-based tour to promote the CD. The rep also wants it on the record that her client isn't just jumping on the actor vanity album bandwagon, saying, "Billy Bob was a musician before he was an actor or director."
The CD release has been delayed by Thornton's back-to-back directorial efforts, All the Pretty Horses and Daddy and Them, both of which are taking their sweet time to get to theaters. Billy Bob's also been busy shooting the Coen brothers' latest. – Albawaba.com.
