The yearly ‘Banzirte Music Festival,’ held in the northern Tunisian city Banzirte has hosted famous singers from across the Arab world over the past few years and has drawn large numbers of fans. The festival’s program is supposed to be kept in complete secrecy. However, inside sources revealed that Tunisian singer Salsam Al Bakoosh will open the program, according to the London daily Elaph. The first event of the program, “Jinakom Ziyar” (We Came to You as Guests) will feature Tunisian folklore. Sources also leaked that Tunisian singer Shukri Bozyan will perform the closing ceremony. Famous singers like Carol Samaha and Fadil Shaker will perform throughout the festival on the Banzirte stage overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
