Producers of the cartoon film Mohammed, Last Prophet and Messenger agreed to screen it in five Arab states simultaneously in the first week of next June.
The film is considered a leading cartoon production on the life history of Prophet Mohammed, may God have peace upon him. The 90-minute film took three years to be wrapped up and included 196 pictures. It has been directed by Richard Rich and produced by Bader International Company at a cost of 12 million dollars.
The general manager of the producing company Mohyiddin Saadiyyeh told the London-based daily al Hayat, “ the approval of the religious authorities in the countries where the film will be screened was secured in addition to the approval of the al Azhar (Highest Religious Reference in the Muslim world). Screening of the film will take place simultaneously in Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates.”
Oscar Company has the right of distributing the film in Egypt.
“My enthusiasm to distribute this film stems from my religious and national responsibility particularly in view of the requirements of our age. We are required to support these art productions which depict Islam to counter the challenges and the west attempts to defame Islam and Arabs,” said director Wael Abdulla, owner of the company -- Albawaba.com
