Young director Ehab Al Kurdi has nominated Lebanese singer Diana Haddad for the leading role in the upcoming film "Kilma min Habibi" (A Word from my Lover). Egyptian actor Mustafa Shabaan has also been nominated for the leading role alongside Diana in the film, which is a semi-musical.
Diana has not given her initial acceptance for the role stressing that she still fears the idea of entering the acting world at this stage in her career. Diana is currently in Lebanon after receiving invitations from a number of television stations to be guest on their programs. The first invitation Diana received was from the Arab satellite television station MBC to be guest on their program Dandana, and the second from the Lebanese satellite channel Future on the program Sabisial.
Diana's visit was not only to shoot the episodes of the different programs, but to also to complete preparations for her upcoming album under the production of Alam El Phan. Diana revealed that the styles in the new album will vary from Lebanese, Egyptian, and the Bedouin accents.
Diana stressed that she is hoping to have her new album ready by the summer of 2005 and plans on shooting a music video for the first time under the direction of Sofi Boutros. The singer added that she is also scheduled to travel to Cairo to be guest on a number of Egyptian channels. –Albawaba.com
