Disputes between young Lebanese artist Qamar and the director Randali Qadih started after Randali agreed to direct a video clip for Qamar.
According to the London daily Elaph, Qamar paid Randali US$40,000 to film the clip, but two days before filming began a dispute erupted between the two and Qamar canceled the filming.
When Qamar asked Randali to return her money, the director refused explaining that she had already used some of the funds in preparation to film.
Qamar and Randali then began bad mouthing about each other in the press.
Randali claims that she provided Qamar with receipts justifying the US$26,000 that she spent to prepare for filming and the she did return the remaining US$14,000.
Qamar and her lawyer checked the receipts and agreed that they were correct.
