News sources have confirmed that Lebanese actress Cyrine Abdel Nour was the first actress nominated to play the leading role in the new Egyptian drama "Al Sayidah Al Ula" (The First Lady) by the Egyptian satellite channel CBC, but was suddenly replaced Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Razik.
According to Sayidaty.net, the sudden change occurred when Ghada's husband journalist Mohammad Fouda , who is the channel's media consultant intervened and convinced the channel to give the leading role to his wife.
Sources stated that Mohammad took advantage of his position at the channel to make the change, convincing them that Ghada is a better choice for the drama because of her previous cinematic success. Mohammad added that Cyrine's history in Egyptian drama was nothing compared to Ghada since she's starred in only one other since the launch of her career.
Mohammad was successful in his attempts, and the role was given to his wife instead of Cyrine, who did not make any public comments regarding the matter.
