Ghada Abdel Razek under 'fake' Twitter fire for her 'real' Tattoos

Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Razek [1] is under fire for what she wrote on her personal account on Twitter: "For those who keep on asking what my Tattoo says: it displays the word of God in English and Arabic”. What seemed like good intentions to lay the matter to rest subsequently sparked a Twitter furor!

According to “Dunia Al Watan” website, the criticism and outright bashing flooded in within minutes of the post-- deemed to be sacreligious by an easily fuming community. Tweeps lashed out, accusing the actress of insulting God. 

Ghada [2], flabbergasted by the commotion, expressed indignation at the, she felt, non-warranted attacks, remarking that everybody knew that she had two tattoos: one displays “Faith [3]” in English, on her left arm, and the other in Arabic on her right arm reads “Azima” (Determination).

No smoke without fire?

However, she then surprised some with a more interesting revelation [4], something some of us didn't already know, what's more...She confirmed in the twist to the whole Twitter-palaver, that she didn't even have a Twitter account [5]and that someone was hijacking her identity and Tweet-speaking on her behalf. She actress, used to courting controversy [6], was less than impressed that somebody's cheeky impersonation had landed her in hot water, this time.

It's hard to know what bothered the feisty Egyptian more - that the fans had fallen for a Twitter imposter, or that they didn't already know what her Tattoos said.
