Time away from the music scene has had a big effect on Egyptian singer Ghada Ragab [2], who has come over all Turkish in her comeback release 'Sourty' (My Image).

Not content with sticking to her mother-tongue, the star has released her new record in Turkish as well as Arabic.

This move follows her recent musical contribution to popular Arabic-dubbed Turkish drama [3]'Sanawat Al Daia' (Lost Years). After the success of her soundtrack stint Ghada was asked to perform at a number of events put on by the Turkish Embassy in Cairo.

And that's not all - according to MBC.net, during a working trip to Turkey in 2010 Ghada had an audience mesmerized with her first stab at a Turkish take on her most popular songs.

Using the new release to showcase her multi-lingual flair, Ghada says she wants to open up a cultural bond between the two countries.
