As if winning an Oscar and being treated like a supermodel isn't enough for 28-year-old actress Gwyneth Paltrow, it looks like her singing career is gaining momentum, too. Her duet with '80s rocker Huey Lewis, Cruisin’ is currently the No. 2 single on Australia's singles charts.
The unlikely duo sang the ditty for Duets, last fall's little-seen karaoke flick directed by Paltrow's dad, Bruce Paltrow. Though the film failed to crack the $5 million mark at the domestic box office, Gwynnie's surprisingly capable singing voice may give the film new life overseas.
According to the BBC, Paltrow only has to beat American power-poppers Wheatus, whose cheeky single Teenage Dirtbag, which was featured in the teen film Loser, is currently at No. 1 Down Under. – Albawaba.com.
