Haifa halts all live performances

Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi announced that she will be
halting all live performances until the bloodshed taking place in Egypt and
Syria comes to an end. She stressed that she cannot hold concerts while so many
people are living through tragic and bloody conditions for merely asking for
their right to live free.

Haifa stated that she is glued to her television set 24
hours a day to stay up to date with the events taking place around the Arab
world.

The singer said that she was deeply affected by the recent
tragedy in Egypt’s Bor Saeed, where the lives of over 75 innocent victims were
lost over a soccer game.

Haifa said that she presents every mother who lost a son or
daughter a bouquet of flowers and she prays that God will give them patience to
carry on.
