Egyptian singer Hakim is currently preparing to go on a European tour this April. The tour will take him to Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Greece, and finally to France. After his European tour, Hakim will return to Egypt to complete the final scenes for his first film “Hasan Safari”.
According to the Egyptian weekly Nojoom, Hakim will go on the tour despite his previous decision to dedicate his time completely to work on the film, which will mark the beginning of his acting career.
Hakim will play the role of young man who is madly in love with travelling but a failure in his everyday life. The sequence of events will take Hakim to Europe where he meets a man who sponsors a number of concerts for Arab singers and decided to give Hakim a chance. After having the opportunity to sing in Europe, Hakim becomes a popular singer known all around the World. At this point he decides to return to Egypt hoping to get fame there as well only to find that his popularity has already reached his homeland. The film is directed by Said Hamid and written by screenwriter Majdi Al Kadash.
On a different note, Hakim's wife filed for divorce in November 2002, following her husband's act of betrayal with his so-called second wife. Marwa expressed resentment to her husband's 'unbearable' acts, which started a year ago with his frequent absence from home. "He used to leave us behind with no money, he showed no attention or care to me or his two kids," explained Marwa.
Hakim had assaulted his wife in a furnished apartment at the upscale neighborhood of Azzamalek, as she walked in on him and his secretary whilst 'in the act', which he later claimed to be his second wife.
Following the incident, witnesses confirmed that the singer went on to beat his wife, Marwa, in front of the neighbors after a squabble broke out between the two.
Marwa told newspapers that she insists on the divorce even if Hakim apologizes in all magazines and newspapers, "my decision is final and I'm not going to give up any of my legal rights, which might amount to one million pounds in financial compensation," said Marwa. – Albawaba.com
