Famous Egyptian singer Hakim finished recording the advertisement song for the new film “Ala Janib Ya osta” (On the Side Please) that was created by Abed Al Rahim Kamal and directed by Said Hamid. The new film will star Rojina, Mahmoud Al Jundi, Arwa, Asir Yasin and Kharyeh Ahmad.
The song for the film is written by Islam Khalil and composed by Hani Farouq. This is the first time that Hakim sings for a film other than his own, or one he had starred in.
On the other hand, director Said Hamid decided to postpone the showing of the film till the first week of June after it was scheduled to be in theaters on the 25th of May. The new film still needs more work in copying and printing before it is ready for showing.
According to the London daily Elaph, director Said Hamid pointed out that he had faced many problems during the filming in the streets of Cairo. The people in the streets and taxi drivers were making the filming impossible and caused delays more than once, which in turn led the filming of the scenes to last for 9 weeks and a half.
The director also canceled a number of scenes because of the obstacles that the film was facing, which led him to film many of the scenes from the building roofs in Cairo so he can show the changes that happened to Cairo. He also adds that the filming was stopped more than once because of the production cost of the filming, where the budget for the film reached 6 million Egyptian pounds instead of the 4 million, which was previously set for the film.
