Better late than never: Hani Shaker joins Facebook

Other stars in the Arab celebosphere might have embraced Facebook years ago but Egyptian star Hani Shaker [2] has been slower on the uptake. 

This week, the singer [3] finally launched his official page on the social networking site.

But while other stars use sites like Twitter and Facebook to battle it out with other celebs [4], Hani says he'll be using his account to get closer to his fans.

And with promises of photos and exclusive interviews, Hani isn't short of a Facebook friend or two.
