Hani Shaker defies grief

Prominent Egyptian singer Hani Shaker has decided to return
to his singing career and completed filming a new music video for the song “Saeb
Jidan” (Very hard). The song is written and composed by Hani himself and is a
special dedication to his deceased daughter Dina, whom the singer lost a few
months ago after a long struggle with cancer.

Hani stated in a number of news reports that he is not a
song writer or composer, but his grief and sorrow over the loss of his daughter
led him to write the song that reflected his feelings and emotions.

Hani revealed that he will implement his daughter’s dying
wish of not resigning from his singing career. The singer had written the song
shortly before his daughter’s death and had sung the words to her. After hearing
the song, Dina had pleaded with her father to record the song and release it,
but the conditions the singer went through forced him to postpone the project.

The song talks about how difficult it is to watch someone
you love suffer so much from an illness and how hard it is to cope with loosing
that someone and feeling helpless for not being able to give a helping hand.
