The young Tunisian actress Hind is currently shooting the scenes for her new film 'Awiz Ha'I" (I Want My Share) with Hani Ramzi and Anam Salouseh. Hind was chosen for her role among a number of Egyptian actresses for her outstanding performance in her previous films.
According to the London based Elaph, the film will finally go into action after it has been postponed for the past three years for a number of reasons. The film will mark the first directing experience for Ahmad Nader Jalal, who is son of the prominent director Nader Jalal.
Egyptian director Enas al Deghaidi is currently gearing up for her new film “Ghaba Min Shooq” (A Forest of Thorns) and has laid her eyes on Hind Sabri to take up the starring role in the new film that is anticipated to spark a big fuss.
Sabri has played starring roles in two Egyptian films, "Muthakkarat Murahika" (Adolescent Memoirs) and "Muwaten Mukhber Wa Harami" (Citizen, Detective and Thief).
About the reactions of the Egyptian audience to her roles in the films "Muthakkarat Murahika" and "Muwaten, Mukhber Wa Harami", Sabri said, “I am not convinced with what is described as moral criticism of films. This should not be the way to read films. This type of criticism annoys me because I see it as impression rather than criticism.”
She reiterated that she was not ready to settle in Egypt. “I live and work in Tunisia but if there were good scripts I could come to Cairo to perform my roles provided that these are different from my roles in the previous two controversial films. I wish to tell the film directors that I would nix all the scripts similar to my performance in the previous films because I don’t have to repeat the same experience.”
The young actress began her art career in the cinema at the age of 14 when she was discovered by the director Noori Bu Zaid who introduced her to the director Mufeedah Talatli who was seeking a star for her film Samt al Kusoor (Palaces Silence). Then Talatli tapped her for the starring role in her film Mawsem al Rijal (Mens Season).
Although the Tunisian actress managed to prove her competency through two films only and overcome all obstacles, she insisted on pursuing the study of law. She is currently gearing up for her Masters Thesis in Business Law -- Albawaba.com
