Tunisian actress Hind Sabri has requested that director Khaled Yousef set a date for the completion of her new film “Wija,” in order to make the final arrangements for her wedding day.
Hind stars in alongside Egyptian actors Hani Salama, Khaled Saleem, and Muna Shalabi in the upcoming film.
She has turned down offers to star in new projects, to allow her time to prepare for her big day.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, the wedding ceremony for her and Syrian actor Basil Khayat will take place in Tunisia, in the traditional style.
A satellite network offered to broadcast Hind’s wedding live in exchange for a two week honeymoon in the Caribbean, in addition to half a million Egyptian pounds.
The couple has yet to accept of reject the offer.
Hind appeared with Basil for the first time three months ago at the special screen preview of her film “Khali min el Cholesterol” (Cholesterol Free) alongside prominent Egyptian actress Elham Shahin. At the screening, Hind made it a point to introduce Basil to critics and journalists, pointing out that he starred in the film “Bab Al Shams”, which was being screened in different Egyptian cinema houses.
On a different note, Hind received an award for “Best Actress” for her role in the film “Ahla Al Awqat” (The Best of Times), during an awards ceremony at the Journalists Association in Egypt. This is the fourth award she has received for her role in the past year.
