Egyptian actor Husein Fahmi was furious with the accusation that the management of the Dubai International Film Festival paid him any money for being present at the Festival. Husein also defends all the Egyptian actors who were present at the festival, who were specifically asked to be there by the management of the festival. Fahmi goes on justifying; that many of the well-known Egyptian actors were asked to be present to support the festival and make it a successful one. Fahmi clears out that Dubai is part of the Arab World; therefore, any Arab actor shouldn’t be criticized for going to such event.
The management of the festival had reserved a private plane to carry the Egyptian actors from Cairo to Dubai. Husein says that the management had to do so, since other planes had no room for all the actors. When the festival was over with most actors went back to Egypt on their own expense.
The presence of Fahmi along side his fellow actors brings great success to the festival. Fahmi believes that the actors shouldn’t be tied up to a specific country or leader; on the contrary, they should reflect the society they live in.
