They kept it totally hidden from the public eye but legendary Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmi [2] and his actress wife Liqa Sweiden have gotten a divorce. The marriage that had lasted for five years without children ended this week but so far no reasons have been given for the separation.
Despite statements made by Liqa a month ago [3] that her love for Hussein was indescribable and that they were happy together, the pair have decided to permanently break-up. News of the divorce has come as a shock for everyone.
News of Hussein and Liqa’s divorce comes only ten days after Hussein’s brother actor Mustafa Fahmi divorced his wife actress Rania Fareed Shawqi.
