Prominent Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmi has announced that he is currently looking for a Lebanese actress to take part in his upcoming new film on the condition that she had not previously appeared in any Egyptian film. The actor has stressed that any Lebanese actress who wishes to take part in his film must abide by the condition stated, which means an exclusion of the participation of such actress like Nicole Saba and Nour.
According to the London weekly, Laha, Hussein has revealed that he wants to introduce new faces to the Egyptian cinema and not the ones people are accustomed to seeing. The actor did not reveal any details regarding the film wanting to keep a low profile until the entire cast is chosen.
Recently, Fahmi demanded a wage of one million EGP to accept a leading role in the new television drama series “Jaezat Nawfal”. Hussein informed the Egyptian Croadcasting Television station that he has raised his wage from 700 EGP to one million.
The new drama is going to be produced by an executive producer, who tried to negotiate with Fahmi to lower his wage. The producer was surprised by Hussein's demand, but found himself obliged to agree to Hussein's demand. Hussein's demand came after he heard that his colleague Farouq al-Fishawi is charging 1.25 million EGP for his new Drama. Shooting of the new drama is expected to begin in the very near future. -Albawaba.com
