Prominent Lebanese singer Najwa Karam was shocked when she discovered that a massive promotional campaign was launched by a concert agent for the singer’s alleged concert to be held in Montreal Canada.
The concert agent, Egyptian Waleed Suleiman, had made several calls to the singer’s business manager, Tareq Abu Judeh, to negotiate having Najwa hold a concert in Montreal, but no final agreement was made and the matter was left hanging.
According to the London based Elaph, Tareq was shocked as well to discover that the agent had gone ahead and made advertisement for a performance by the singer. Tareq stressed that he did not agree on anything with the agent and denied that such a concert will be taking place.
On a different note, Najwa is preparing to hold a performance on March 14, alongside UAE singer Hussein Al Jasmi and Egyptian singer Shireen Abdul Wahab in Kuwait at the “Hello February Annual Music Festival”.
The singer will then head off to Morocco where she is scheduled to hold a concert on March 31 and from there go on to Qatar ending her tour around the Arab world.
Najwa is currently choosing the songs for her upcoming album, which she has not yet set a launch date for. She will be holding extensive work sessions with poets and composers to finalize her song selections.
