Bieber mayhem in UAE: 10,000 fans get in line for May performance

The teen pop sensation takes the UAE down with a strong case of Bieber fever as 10,000 fans pre-register for tickets to catch his May 2013 performance.

What took pop icon Jennifer Lopez [2] 12 days to achieve, teen sensation Justin Bieber [3] accomplished in less than a day.

“On the first day, we got six thousand pre-registrations for Justin Bieber tickets. We got that number for Jennifer Lopez after two weeks,” Thomas Ovesen, COO of DONE Events [4], said on Monday.

By 3pm on Monday, the numbers had crossed 10,000, underlining the Bieber fever that’s gripping the UAE [5]. The Believe singer will take to the stage on May 4 and the tickets will go on sale at 9am on September 23.
