The family members of the late artist Laila Murad threatened to file a lawsuit to stop the television drama series “Ana Albi Dalili” (I Can Tell By My Heart) from airing of television. “Ana Albi Dalili” which talks about the biography of the late artist Laila Murad and her family are upset with the performance of the Syrian actress Safa Sultan who stars as Laila Murad.
Zaki Fateen Abed Al Wahab who is Laila Murad’s son objected to the making of the drama series from the start and now he is asking to have the series stopped from airing on television. He had also filed for compensations from the producer of the drama series. Laila Murad’s son made sure that 50% of the events that took place in the drama series “Ana Albi Dalili” came from the writer’s imaginations.
In a television interview Laila Murad’s son also criticized the Syrian actress Safa Sultan’s performance in the series and said that she is a poor actress who is not talented. He also refused the implications that there was a romantic relationship with his mother and the famous late Egyptian artist Muhammad Abed Al Wahab; he made sure that the only thing that connected them was their music careers and nothing more.
It is needless to say that the series “Ana Albi Dalili” is written by Majdi Sabed and directed by Muhammad Zuhair. It stars Syrian actress Safa Sultan as Laila Murad, Izat Abu Oof as her father and Hind Akef as her mother. The series also stars Ahmad Rateb, Ahmad Folkis and Abed al Aziz Makhyoun.
