Lebanese provocative singer Marwa sings for Ramadan, and adapts her act accordingly for the holy month.
She has just wrapped up filming a music video for her latest single “Amo Ramadan” (Uncle Ramadan). The rounded clip is a nice Ramadan family special - which was practically a first for the adult-appealing singer who once told a compatriot TV host that he 'turned her on' .
The video features a whole rabble of children playing and running loose in the neighborhoods of Cairo, spreading the spirit of Ramadan. Most Arab satellite channels have begun airing the seasonal clip.
In the musical creatioin, was filmed on the first day of Ramadan, Marwa appears most unlike her usual racy self , fitted out in very conservative apparel.
The song's genesis comes down to a collaboration of writer Ismael Al Khayal, and composer Majdi Abu Ouf. The piece was arranged by Ahmad Baritoun and directed by Ibrahim Nashat.
What do you think of 'Ramadan' Marwa?
