Prominent Syrian singer Mayada Al Hinawi is currently seen busy choosing a collection of new songs for her upcoming album in Cairo – Egypt. During her work trip, Mayada will record a new national song for Tunisia, which she will sing during her participation in the Carthage Festival this summer.
According to the London based Elaph, Mayada will go on a tour around the Arab world, which will take her to Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and other countries. Al Hinawi has revealed that she has refrained from singing songs that are long and has shifted to the more upbeat short songs to fit in the modern age of Arabic music. The singer stressed that in order for any artists to keep going, he/she must alter him/herself with the moving times or he will remain in his place and will eventually fadeout.
Mayada revealed that she will release a new album under the production of Alam El Phan in addition to launching two new music videos. The singer stressed that she was not absent from the music scenes, but she had personal issues that kept her from holding live performances. Mayada revealed that her recent marriage was one of the reasons she did not hold any concerts, reported the London based magazine, Sayidaty.
Recently, Al Hinawi described her rivalry Syrian singer Asalah Nasri as being extremely jealous of her to the point of complication. Mayada stressed that Asalah’s jealousy is similar to that some women have towards each other over things they wished they have but do not. Mayada’s comments came in reply to statements made by Asalah on a TV program saying that she advises Mayada to resign because she is outdated. Mayada had also revealed that at a point in time Algerian singer Warda was also jealous of her, but she differentiated Warda’s jealousy as being a typical one and not to the point of complication as Asalah’s. –Albawaba.com
