Prominent Saudi singer Muhammad Abdoh, who is the star of the Ninth Doha Music Festival, stated that being part of the Doha festival is an honor and pleasure.
Abdoh praised Qatari television channels for showing continued interest in Khaliji (Gulf) and Arab artists.
He thinks that singers are too concerned with winning awards, and the real awards are when artists are loved by their fans.
According to the London daily Elaph, Abdoh says that his next album is complete and ready for release. He adds that he is not interested in album covers, but only in the quality of the songs. Abdoh talked about Khaliji singers, stating that Rashid Al Majed, who owns a television station is also a great singer. He described Emirati singer Ahlam as the “number one female singer.” With regard to Abdoh’s song “Al Amken” (Places), performed with Naser Saleh, he said there will be other projects between the two.
