Lebanese national and trans-regional pop-treasure Nancy Ajram recently held a thrilling performance for diehard fans in Istanbul, Turkey. As part of the promotion for the 'Shopping Festival', Nancy, in the spirit of spending and record sales, could be considered the Middle East's very own 'material girl' .
A collection of her most popular hits was enough to keep the Turks happy for 2 hours in a show attended by thousands upon thousands of Arabs and Turks - mutually avid fans of Nancy. Notable attendees at the concert were Lebanese consular representatives from Lebanon's Embassy in Istanbul, together with Egypt's counterpart diplomatic set, as well as a healthy spattering of Turkish soap stars, worshipped in the far corners of the Arab world.
The concert saw pop-princess Nancy glitter gold in her exquisite shiny yellow gown.
This marks the second concert Nancy holds in Turkey - the first Turkish fest - another tribute to the Turkish shopping trade - held some months back. This summer concert makes good on Nancy's promise to be back in the land of the Turks before too much time could elapse since her hearty reception last year.
