Rising star tells Nawal al Zoghbi: 'start acting your age'

Egyptian starlet, Sandy, has clearly riled the Lebanese singing star with her ageist comments.

Pop queen, Nawal al Zoghbi, has been used to being the center of attention for many years but with a news set of starlet singers popping, the sexy songstress may have to share the limelight. This week Nawal got confronted with her age [2] by up-and-coming singer, Sandy.

The youngster was set to sing with Nawal at a charity event at the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai but the older lady was clearly feeling a little insecure and banned Sandy from the stage at the last minute. Now the Egyptian starlet has hit back, saying Nawal is 'old enough to be her mother' [3] and she expected her to treat her with some respect.

Sandy is known for her skimpy clothes and provocative style so many in the media suspected Nawal was feeling a little jealous of a younger woman sharing her spotlight. But the younger singer denied dressing innapropriately and said she doesn't care about the snub.
