Prominent Lebanese singers Nawal Al Zoughbi and Ragheb Alama held a concert for a charity organization on Rumailah Beach south of Beirut. The performance was both a success and a failure as fans did not show much interest in Nawal’s concert, but once Ragheb walked on stage the crowd went crazy in excitement.
The tickets were sold for cheap prices and that was the reason behind the large number of teenagers who showed up. Nawal started the concert with her hit song “Allayali” (Nights) then her latest song “Aineik Kaddabeen” (Lying Eyes), but some of the fans noticed big mistakes in the way Nawal sang. At the end one of Nawal’s fans went up the stage to dance with his favorite star but the organizers pushed him and with this awkward situation Nawal ended with a very weak performance.
At exactly midnight, Ragheb showed up from the seaside on a boat and all the fans ran on the beach to greet their favorite singer. Ragheb sang two of his hit songs “Ya Ghayeb, Saharouni” and some of his latest songs turning the event in a very lively one.
Teenage girls went up the theatre to hug Ragheb who did not mind and even asked some girls to sing with him. Security guards were given the green light to allow the girls to go up to Ragheb despite the fact that their number reached around twelve girls at one time. –Albawaba.com
