Nawal demands the press stop interfering in her personal life

Lebanese singer Nawal Al Zoughbi publically announced her divorce from Eli Deeb, yet failed to disclose the reason for the split.

Several press reports claimed that Nawal’s husband committed adultery, causing the divorce.

 According to the London daily Elaph, Nawal asked that the press leave her private life alone, although she did say that the press is free to comment on her music and her career.

She released the following points to the press to clarify her case:

1. The reason for the divorce between Nawal and her husband are private and she would appreciate if the press respected that. She says that no one has the right to interfere in her private life.

2. Nawal said that the charges of Deeb’s infidelity are untrue. If that was the case, she would have severed their professional ties. Deeb is still her manager.

3. She and Deeb have great respect for each other, despite their divorce. Lastly, Nawal asked for a stop to the spreading of lies.
