The jewelry company ‘Lion Hatout’ has named Lebanese singer Nelly Maqdasi as the new spokeswoman for their products. The company believes Nelly has a beautiful face that matches their jewels, made especially for women who value individuality.
During a press conference held to announce her nomination, Nelly stated that she is honored to be chosen by the company, and is pleased to have the opportunity to represent an international company and promote their products.
Nelly stressed that she wanted to wait for the right time and right product to make a commercial. She added that she was looking for something that matches her ambitions, because a commercial can reflect true feelings.
Nelly stated that “jewels are every woman’s weak point,” which motivated her to promote the company’s elegant products.
After a year and a half absence, Nelly has just returned to the scenes with her new album "Ouf Ouf," produced by ‘Rotana,’ and featuring ten songs in a mixture of Lebanese, Egyptian, Gulf and Bedouin dialects.
Nelly cooperated with a number of prominent composers for her new album, including Prince Turkey Al Sidery, Hani Al Zagheer, and Khaled Al Bakri.
The singer chose to film the album’s lead song, "Ouf Ouf," in the form of a music video, and stated that she purposefully films only one music video for each of her albums.
Nelly chose Egypt for the filming location, despite the fact that the song is sung in the Lebanese dialect. The story of the clip revolves around a lover’s quarrel that leads the woman to leave him.
