Noor Al Sherif to Play Patron of Famous Poet

Egyptian actor Noor Al Sherif has accepted an offer to perform the role of Saif Al Dawlah Al Hamadani in a historical television series.

Egyptian actor Noor Al Sherif has accepted an offer to perform the role of Saif Al Dawlah Al Hamadani in a historical television series.  

The Syrian series, scripted by Mamdouh Odwan, explores the life history of the Arab poet Abu Al Tayyeb Al Mutanabbi, who will be played by the Syrian actor Salloum Haddad. 

Sherif is currently busy reading everything available about Saif Al Dawlah Al Hamadani, including his biography and character profile, in order to begin shooting the series this summer. 

The Egyptian star is well known for fancying such historical characters. Among his television roles has been Islamic Caliph Omar Bin Abdel Aziz - Albawaba.com
