Pressure Causes Employee to Lose Marbles on Stage

Yawmiyyat Majnoun (The Dailies of a Madman) is the title of a Syrian play scheduled to appear in the 13th Egyptian Festival for Empirical Theatre due to start on September 1, according to the daily Syria Times.  

The script of the play is based on a play written by Russian writer Nicholas Gogol that examines the impact of social and emotional pressure on a dreamy employee. The pressure pushes him over the brink.  

The play is a monologue that was earlier performed on the stage of the National Theatre in Damascus – Albawaba.com
