Egyptian actress Rania Fareed Shawki has given her final
approval to star in the new television drama “Al Saqr Shaheen” (Shaheen the
Eagle) alongside Syrian actor Tayem Hassan. In the drama, Rania plays the role
of Amal, who encounters numerous obstacles in her life and falls in love with
Shaheen, played by Tayem.

The agony of Rania’s character escalates when she discovers
that Shaheen is in love with another woman, played by Egyptian actress Shiri
Adel.
Filming of the scenes is scheduled to begin by the end of
the current month in order to have it ready to air by Ramadan 2012. The drama
is directed by Abd Al Aziz Hashad, who is currently selecting different filming
locations, and production is by the production company ‘King Tut’.
According to the London based Elaph, along with “Al Saqr
Shaheen”, Rania will also star in the television drama “Banat Fi Banat” (Just
Girls). The drama is composed of only 15 episodes and the filming is to compose
of different locations around Cairo.
Rania had previously turned down her nomination to star in
the drama “Al Nar Wa Al Teen” (Fire and Mud) due to the fact that the producing
company “Sawt Al Cahira” had requested she frees herself completely and not
take on other projects.
