Egyptian actress Rania Fareed Shawqi revealed that she
intends on returning to comedy through the new television drama “Banat fi Banat”
(Girls and Girls). Rania has already begun filming the first scenes and is
hopeful to have it ready to be aired during the Ramadan season of 2012.

Rania stated that she was very enthusiastic about taking
part in the drama for the mere fact that it is a comedy, adding that she found
herself in the role offered to her.
According to the London based Elaph, Rania stated that she
was very careful about the roles she accepted for the upcoming period,
especially after the significant success her recent drama “Khatem Suleiman
(Suleiman’s ring) achieved. The drama
had achieved the highest number of viewers during the recent holy month of
Ramadan.
With regards to the new comedy, Rania said that it will be
made into 15 episodes and she plays more than one character. The work will
tackle a number of social issues in a comical way.
