Two of the most controversial singers in the music industry, Egyptian singer Ruby and Lebanese singer Maria will give separate performances at the Shubaib Music festival in Jordan this summer, a precedent for the singers.
The event, under the patronage of her royal highness Princess Alia bint Al Hussein, will feature a number of new singers like Jad Shweiri, and former “Superstar” contestants Haitham Saeed and Soud Abu Sultan.
Ruby is scheduled to hold a number of summer concerts outside of Egypt, in Syria, Lebanon, and possibly Tunisia, a precedent for the star.
Producer/director Sharif Sabri, who is Ruby’s business manager, has denied circulating rumors that Ruby and Maria will perform a duet together.
Sabri confirmed that all rumors concerning Ruby’s participation in a new film or television drama are also untrue, and that she will not appear in any feature outside of his direction.
Sharif added that Ruby has declined numerous offers to star in different works because they are not in accord with the plan he has set for her to become a superstar.
According to the London based Elaph, Sharif stated that he has only approved one potential offer for Ruby outside of his sphere, which is a staring role in an upcoming film by prominent Egyptian director Yousif Shahin.
