Director Mohammad Khan has hand picked Egyptian singer and actress Ruby  for the leading lady in his new film “Fatat Al Masna” (The Factory Girl). The film depicts life in the factory lane in a working girl's life. 
Ruby is set to start shooting the first scenes of the film shortly after Muslim holiday Eid Al Fitr, which falls straight after the holy month of Ramadan.
Khan has has also revealed his choice for her leading opposite - actor Hani Adel for the main male role, and is currently setting about selecting the remaining cast that will include some newcomers.
The film unfolds entirely inside one of the factories in Egypt and will follow the life of one of the working girls, who is Ruby's  protagonist character. It promises to shed light on the problems faced by women working in factories and will draw on real life stories.
We can expect great things from Ruby's films if her past performances are anything to go by. She boasts a strong repertoire of films with one of her previous movies nominated for an Oscar in the foreign film category.
