Egyptian controversial singer Ruby has joined the thousands
of demonstrators in Egypt’s famous Tahrir Square, who are calling for their
demands be met. Protesters are demanding Egypt’s military rulers be stopped and that an end be put to alleged human
rights violations at the hands of their forces.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Ruby stressed
that the demands of protesters who now have been in Tahrir Square for 10 days,
are legitimate ones and she is among them as an Egyptian citizen who wants to
be able to live in a country that is safe refusing all kinds of brutality that
is used against demonstrators.
Ruby added that
she does not belong to any political party and all that concerns her is that
stability and security return to Egypt and that her country overcomes these
harsh times without any more casualties.
On a different
note, Ruby revealed that her upcoming album has been postponed due to the
unstable conditions in Egypt. She added that she will resume work on the album
once there is stability in Egypt.
