Sabrine gets told to cut the drama

It's been a bad start to the year for Egyptian actress Sabrine.  [2]

The starlet had been hoping for small-screen success this summer after bagging a highly sought after slot in the Ramadan TV lineup.  [3]

But her dreams came crashing down when her religious drama, 'Asma Bint Abi Bakr,' was called off because of a lack of funds. 

Unsuprisingly, producers and actors across the region are hoping that Sabrine's loss will be their gain as they try to nab the slot.
