Egyptian actress Sabrine stated that she dresses
conservatively and does not consider her hijab (Islamic headdress) is properly
worn. She said that the hijab should be worn long and properly covers her hair,
in addition to the fact that a woman who wears the hijab should not wear too
much makeup, whereas she constantly puts makeup on and wears her hijab short.

According to the internet website MBC.net, Sabrine stressed that
she never announced she wears the hijab officially, but rather had stated that
she chose to dress conservatively.
With regards to her role in the television drama “Wadi Al
Mulook” (Valley of Kings) and her wearing a wig, Sabrine stated that the drama
tackled the time period between 1916 and 1923 and at that time women did not
wear the hijab.
