What better way to take a break from pressures of the studio than to perform live on TV?
The Moroccan singer  has been in the studio for the past two and a half years working on recording her new album, which she is personally putting up the cash for. Her fans are desperate to get their hands on her new material, as she hasn't put out new music since 2010. 
Samira will be taking a soujourn from the soundboards this week as she’s a guest on this weekend’s Arab Idol!
The MBC show is filmed in Beirut and Samira has been in the capital all week micromanaging every aspect of her upcoming performance. This diva-esque behavior doesn't come as a surprise with Samira - her fans call her the "Diva of Arab Music"!
Samira has spoken of her love for Arab Idol previously and said that she is a big fan of all this year’s contestants . Not only that, she loves the friendly banter between Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama and UAE singer Ahlam, who are both judges on the panel.
Samira is used to big audiences - in the 1980s, she represented Morocco in the Eurovision Song Contest!
