Despite her recent experience in singing, the young Saudi singer Sara decided to debut in acting after she had been tapped by the Kuwaiti actor and producer Basem Abdel Amir to play the starring role in the series Li al Domoua’ Qissah (Tears Have a Story).
The new series was scripted by the young screenwriter Wahaj who debuted last Ramadhan in the drama entitled al Qadar al Mahtoum (Inevitable Destiny).
Shooting of the 15-episode series is scheduled to begin by the end of this month in Kuwait and another Gulf State in addition to shooting some scenes in Turkey and Greece.
Costarring in the series is an elite group of the Kuwaiti and gulf drama stars including Mohammed al Mansour, Merriam al Ghadhban and Hussein al Mansour. The series will be produced by Basem Abdel Amir from Kuwait and actress Ahlam Mohammed from Bahrain.
The series will be directed by the Saudi director Mohammed Daham al Shamari who described it as a pure social one that depicts a number of issues which cause the gulf citizen a lot of concern.
