Despite rumors the Syrian actor split from his wife because he was jealous of her success , it seems they parted ways because the Levantine thespian believes hell is other people.
His breakup with actress Sulafa Mimar  confounded the Arab World, as the pair made a point of displaying their affection for each other in public after the divorce.
Rumours swirled that there was more to the divorce. It was a ploy to improve their image for some. Sulafa appeared to be in favor of more freedom, too .
But Seif insisted this was true love and no stage play. The pair are still good friends  and have not lost the closeness they shared to the bitter pitfalls of celebrity divorce that plague so many, he says.
The wellbeing of their daughter, Dhahab, was put first, according to Seif.
A trip to see a shrink has led him to believe an early childhood trauma caused him to yearn for solitude. He will not remarry, he attests, as he is “not the marrying type”.
